Amongst Mexico’s most popular clubs, Club Deportivo Guadalajara, commonly known as Chivas or Chivas de Guadalajara, is a regular in La Primera División de México – the top-tier of soccer in Mexico. Chivas has the most league titles in Mexican first division history with 11.
The club finished last season atop the league but was eliminated in the quarter-finals of the post-season playoffs, La Ligilla, by unfancied Querétaro.
On Friday, the Chivas adidas 2012 home jersey was launched by the club. It will be used for the team’s Copa Liberatores 2012 campaign which commences on February 22nd against Vélez Sarsfield in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The Chivas 2012 third kit will also be used for important league matches such as the El Súper Clásico against Club América and El Clásico Tapatío versus Club Atlas.
