FC Barcelona’s Víctor Valdés Signs with Penalty

FC Barcelona and Spain goalkeeper Víctor Valdés has signed a 5-year endorsement deal with Brazilian sportwear firm Penalty.

Known for providing kits to the likes of Portuguesa and Vasco da Gama, Valdés becomes the firm’s most well-known spokesperson as it seeks to make inroads in the European sportwear market.

A product of the Barcelona youth system, Valdés has been Barca’s first choice goalkeeper since the 2003/04 season. He has since won five Spanish La Liga titles,  three UEFA Champions Leagues, the FIFA World Club Cup amd the 2010 FIFA World Cup with club and country. He will wear the Penalty S11 goalkeeper gloves and cleats as part of the new deal.
