Video: Tottenham Hotspur 2 – Arsenal 1 (English Premier League Highlights)

Tottenham Hotspur defeated local rivals Arsenal 2-1 at White Hart Lane on Sunday in the first North London derby of the 2011/12 season.

Rafael Van der Vaart gave the hosts a 1-0 lead in the 40th in what was the 10,000th goal of Spurs’ history. Aaron Ramsey notched the equalizer for the new look Gunners in the 51st to start off a sustained possession for Arsenal. However, new England call-up Kyle Walker sealed the win for Tottenham with a lone range, swerving effort in the 73rd.

The result see Spurs climb to sixth in the Premier League table while Arsenal fall to 15th, two points above the early season relegation zone.
