Queens Park Rangers Sign Kit Deal with Malaysia Airlines and AirAsia

Published on

English Premier League club Queens Park Rangers will have their kits sponsored by Malaysia Airlines and AirAsia over the next two years. The sponsored version of the QPR 2011/12 Lotto home jersey (now available at World Soccer Shop) was worn for the first time during Monday night’s 0-0 league draw with Newcastle United.

According to the club website:

Queens Park Rangers Football Club is delighted to announce a multi-million pound shirt sponsorship deal with Malaysia Airlines and AirAsia.

Malaysia Airlines will sponsor QPR’s home shirt for the next two seasons, whilst AirAsia will take pride of place on the R’s away and third jerseys for the same period.

AirAsia CEO and founder Toy Fernandes recently became QPR’s majority shareholder. The club’s 11/12 home, away and third kits were unveiled in July and August.

The new home shirt, adorned with the Malaysia Airlines logo, will be worn for the first time in tonight’s live Sky Sports showdown against Newcastle United at Loftus Road.
