Once managed by the great Sir Alex Ferguson, Aberdeen Football Club (also known as The Dons, The Dandies or The Dandy Dons) is a Scottish professional football club based in Aberdeen. The club competes in the Scottish Premier League and is one of Scotland’s most successful teams with four league titles and seven Scottish Cups, including a record three in a row during the 1980s.
Aberdeen is also the only Scottish team to have won two European trophies (the 1983 European Cup Winners Cup and European Super Cup). However, it has not won any silverware since 1995.
