Esporte Clube Bahia (often simply known as Bahia) is a Brazilian football team based in Salvador, Bahia, Brazil. The club won the Campeonato Brasileiro Série A in 1988 and the Taça Brasil (the predecessor to the modern Brazilian League) in 1959, beating Pelé’s Santos in the decisive match.
Bahia is one of the most popular teams from the Northeast of Brazil and has returned to Série A following its promotion from Série B at the end of last season. It was the first club of Brazil and FC Barcelona right back Dani Alves.
On Monday, Bahia presented its 2011 Lotto kit collection to the public. In keeping with the South American tradition of featuring female models for kit launches, a couple of Brazilian soccer babes were on hand to show off the Tricolor’s new strips.
