The United States Men’s National Soccer Team fell 0-1 in international friendly action against Paraguay in Nashville, TN on Tuesday night.
Despite outplaying their opponents for much of the match, Bob Bradley’s team could not find an answer to Oscar Cardozo’s scrappy 18th minute goal from a corner mainly because of the goalkeeping heroics of Paraguay netminder Justo Villar.
USA coach Bob Bradley used to second half of the match to give a debut to goalkeeper David Yelldell (MSV Duisburg). In a first in the modern era, Team USA fielded three German-born players at the same time with Yelldell, Jermaine Jones and Timothy Chandler all representing the side in the second period.
