Genoa scored four unanswered second half goals to defeat AS Roma 4-3 in Italian Serie A league action on Sunday. The result saw Roma slide to five consecutive losses in which the team has conceded fourteen goals and led to the immediate resignation of under fire manager Claudio Ranieri.
Philippe Mexes, Nicolas Burdisso and Francesco Totti put Roma 3-0 up before Rodrigo Palacio and Alberto Paloschi scored two goals each in a comeback win that moved Genoa up to 10th in the Serie A standings. AS Roma sit in eight place and sixteen points behind league leaders AC Milan.
