Published on

El Club de Futbol Monterrey is a Mexican football club from Monterrey, Nuevo León. Founded in 1945, it is also the oldest team from the north of Mexico currently playing in the country’s professional division. Because of its home uniform C.F. Monterrey is traditionally known as Los Rayados (the striped ones).

C.F. Monterrey is the defending Mexican Primera champion after winning the Primera División de México Apertura 2010 title and features a wealth of international talent including Chilean striker Humberto Suazo, Osvaldo Martínez of Paraguay and a host of Mexican national team players.

On Sunday, C.F. Monterrey and Nike launched the club’s 2011 third kit. It was used for Los Rayados’ 3-2 loss at Pumas and features the same Nike design as the Corinthians 2011 and FC Porto 2010 away jerseys.
