Emmanuel Adebayor Real Madrid Presentation

Published on

Former Arsenal and Monaco striker Emmanuel Adebayor was officially presented as a Real Madrid player at the club’s Estadio Santiago Bernabéu on Thursday.

Adebayor joins Real Madrid on loan until the end of the season from English Premier League side Manchester city after falling out of favor with Citizens manager Roberto Mancini. The former Togo international reinforces a depleted Real Madrid frontline that currently has only one fit outright striker, Karim Benzema.

The 2008 African Footballer of the Year scored 62 domestic goals in three years at Arsenal before a controversial $41 million move to money-rich Manchester City. Adebayor went on to score 19 goals in 36 appearances for City but only one in his 8 Premier League appearances during the 2010/11 season.
