Brazilian Campeonato Brasileiro Série A club Botafogo has released the design for its 2011 home kit. The new jersey is a tribute to Brazilian and Botafogo legend Garrincha and will be launched between late January and early February.
The shirt is a replica of the that by the club during the 1962 season when Garrincha led Botafogo to Torneio Rio-São Paulo and Campeonato Carioca titles. The 1958 and 1962 FIFA World Cup winner played for Botafogo 581 times from 1953 to 1965.
Botafogo recently launched a tribute kit to recently retired striker Túlio Maravilha from club equipment provider Fila.
