Sheffield Wednesday Puma 2011/12 Away Kit Design

English Football League One club Sheffield Wednesday has announced the design for its PUMA 2011/12 away kit. The new Owls’ strip was selected via an online fan vote.

According to the Sheffield Wednesday FC website:

Supporters were once again given the opportunity of choosing their favourite kit from three colour options – this time around the selection was either silver, green or orange.

Thousands of Owls fans voted in last week’s poll and the winner, with 48 per cent, is option 1 – the silver shirt featuring a Sheffield Wednesday blue and white trim, including retro-style stripes on the right shoulder.

Additionally, the club and official manufacturers PUMA can reveal some extra special features added to the shirt. A watermarked Owl logo is shown across the front and Theo -the mascot of The Children’s Hospital, Sheffield – is included on the back in representation of Sheffield Wednesday’s ongoing support of the local charity.

The full kit is finished off with silver shorts and socks, complete with matching blue trim, and will be available for supporters to buy at the end of the current season.
