Cristiano Ronaldo scored a brace to take his season tally 18 goals in 19 games following Karim Benzema’s opener in the 35th and Alvaro Arbeloa’s first Champions League goal of the season in the 44th.
The only blemishes on Real’s performance on the evening were the expulsions of Xabi Alonso in the 87th and Sergio Ramos in the 91st for double yellow cards.
