With current La Roja players David Villa, Xabi Alonso and Fernando Llorente as the kit launch models, defending FIFA World Cup and Euro Spain have launched their adidas 2011/12 home kit to be used for the rest of their UEFA Euro 2012 qualifiers.

The Spain 11/12 adidas home kit will also be used for the team’s friendlies in the build-up to Euro 2012. It will see on the field action for the first time on Wednesday when Spain meets Portugal in Lisbon and in Spain’s Euro 2012 home qualifier against the Czech Republic on March 25th, 2011.

According to adidas: This jersey is born from within, stemming from our passion for “La Roja” (“the Reds”), a passion which we feel, share, live and dream, thanks to our team. The new red, the jersey of the World Champions, is born from these attributes which mark our new status as champions. A dynamic design, reflecting the style on the pitch, contains strips of electric blue down the sides and on the shoulders to match the shorts. A yellow line running around the v-neck collar, symbolising the Spanish flag, gives it an added touch of grandeur.

But above all, it pays great tribute to our champions, complete with the gold star on the badge, the stitching “FIFA World Champions 2010” on the inside of the collar and the World Cup Champions badge awarded by FIFAâ„¢.
