A rampant FC Barcelona pummeled Sevilla FC 5-0 at the Camp Nou on Saturday to keep pace with league leaders Real Madrid at the summit of the Spanish La Liga.

Barca emerged from a lethargic spell of several weeks to score their highest league goal tally of the season courtesy of two goals apiece from Lionel Messi and David Villa. Former Sevilla wingback Dani Alves added a fifth to complete the rout.
