Forty eight hours after defeating the MLS All Stars by a score of 5-2, Manchester United fell 3-2 to Mexican power Club Deportivo Guadalajara at the latter’s newly-opened Estadio Omnilife.
Manchester United signing Javier “El Chicharito” Hernandez played for former team Chivas during the first half of the match and put the hosts up 1-0 after just nine minutes. However, Fellow United newboy Chris Smalling levelled matters less than 60 seconds later.
Adolfo Bautista and Hector Reynoso made the score 3-1 with goals in the 38th and 58th minutes respectively before Nani struck back for United with 11 minutes to go.
