Portsmouth FC Kappa 2010 FA Cup Final Kit Design

Portsmouth FC has unveiled the design of the limited edition Kappa kit that it will wear for this Saturday’s FA Cup Final meeting with Chelsea. The kit pays homage to the club’s early years by incorporating its original colours of burgundy and salmon pink.

According to Pompey’s website:

In its early years, Pompey ran out in salmon pink shirts, white shorts and burgundy socks — a strip which saw ‘The Shrimps’, as they were then nicknamed, through from their formation in 1898 to 1909.

The return of these original colours is a reaffirmation that Pompey is more than just a football club — hand in hand with the supporters, it is interwoven into the fabric of the community.
