Video: FC Barcelona 1 – Inter Milan 0 (UEFA Champions League Highlights)

Published on

Inter Milan fell to defending champions FC Barcelona 1-0 earlier today but won their two-legged tie 3-2 on aggregate to advance to the final of the 2009/10 UEFA Champions League. Inter will now face Bayern Munich on May 22nd in Madrid with Europe’s most sought after soccer trophy as the prize.

Inter were outshot 15 to 1, had only 25% possession of the ball and played with 10 men following Thigo Motta’s 28th minute dismissal as Barcelona launched a stream of attacks on Julio Cesar’s goal.

Defender Gerald Pique ensured a frantic finish to the match with his 84th minute goal. Had Barca made the score 2-0 they would have won the series on away goals.
