The 2009/10 British Football Rich List

FourFourTwo magazine has compiled and released their 2009/10 British football rich list.

According to the ranking, London-based Indian steel magnate Lakshmi Mittal is the richest man in British football, with an estimated worth of £18.4 billion. Mittal is believed to own 20% of the Loftus Road-based English Championship club.

Los Angeles Galaxy midfielder and brand of his own David Beckham is also in a league of his own in terms of worth with an estimated  fortune of £125  million. As such he’s well ahead of the second and third placed player rich list fortunes owned by Manchester United strikers Michael Owen (£38million) and Wayne Rooney (£37million) respectively.

England boss Fabio Capello tops the manager rich list with a fortune of £30m. Ipswich manager Roy Keane ranks in 2nd place with £27m while Manchester United’s Sir Alex Ferguson is in third with £22m.
