Mexico’s Club America earned a hard fought 2-1 win pre-season win against AC Milan at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta, GA on Wednesday night.
A glancing header from Daniel Marquez six minutes from the end of regulation time gave the Mexican powerhouse the game winner.
America had taken the lead in the 55th minute when Enrique Esqueda’s run lost AC Milan’s recently signed American defender Oguchi Onyewu. Esqueda then collected a well-placed through-ball from Salvador Cabanas for the goal.
Veteran forward Filippo Inzaghi equalised for Milan in the 65th.
