Serie A’s leaders, Inter Milan, were overrun by an excellent Atalanta side on Sunday.
A great turn and shot from striker and Italy hopeful Sergio Floccari after 18 minutes put Atalanta up 1-0. Veteran playmaker Cristiano Doni’s free kick then took a deflection off Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s hand to extend the lead on 28 minutes.
The 35-year-old Doni, one of the most in-form Serie A players, made it 3-0 on 33 minutes with a towering header as Inter’s defence stood still. Ibrahimovic netted in injury time with a rare Inter effort.
