The Tibet national soccer team is controlled by the Tibetan National Football Association, an organization of exiled Tibetans.
Many of the team’s players live in exile outside of Tibet and are represented by the Tibetan Government in Exile. The goal of the Tibetan National Football Association is to gain official status as it is currently not recognized by FIFA nor the AFC.
The TNFA recently signed a two year kit deal with Dutch retro football specialists COPA. The firm says that “the collaboration between COPA and the Tibetan National Sports Association is a result of the passion for football in general and the charm of the smaller football countries in particular which fit perfectly to the identity of COPA.”
Here is a look at the newly launched Tibet COPA 2011/12 home and way kits. These are expected to become collectors items given a high degree of international support for Tibet independence from Chinese occupation.
