Nike released the England EURO 2016 home and away kits<\/a> to much fanfare a couple of week ago. Here\u2019s our in-person look at the latest Three Lions primary shirt for the 2016\/17 international football calendar.

Despite the lack of success that England has had at the EUROs and World Cup in recent times, the launch of new incarnations of their iconic white home kit is always a major event. In part because of its footballing history and in part because of the fact that England is home to the ever-popular Barclays Premier League, English jerseys are always in-demand by soccer fans worldwide. With manager Roy Hodgson\u2019s team boasting a perfect record in EURO 2016 qualifying and coming off an impressive 3-2 friendly win at Germany last week, their new home shirt has already proven be a big seller.<\/p>\n

Vapor vs. Stadium Version<\/strong><\/p>\n

Like all of Nike\u2019s new kit, the England 2016\/17 home jersey comes in the authentic \u201cVapor\u201d version<\/a> that is issued to players and fancentric \u201cStadium\u201d version<\/a>. The latter uses Nike\u2019s Aeroswift technology intended to maximize cooling and support player movement. For fans not willing to pay the $144 US for the Vapor kit, the Stadium shirt can be had for $90 US. That\u2019s the kit that we\u2019re having a look at.<\/p>\n

The key difference between the two apart from the aforementioned Aeroswift fabric is the text \u201cTHREE\u201d and \u201cLIONS\u201d on the inside on the right and left sleeve cuffs. The \u201cENGLAND\u201d text on the outside rear collar is sewn into the Vapor shirt\u2019s fabric instead of being printed as it is on the Stadium kit. The England 16\/17 Nike Vapor home kit also appears to be more form-fitting that the Stadium jersey to accommodate athletes\u2019 physiques.<\/p>\n

Fit<\/strong><\/p>\n

The England EURO 2016 Nike Stadium home kit fits true to size. Like much of today\u2019s shirts, it does have a bit of a slim fit so if you\u2019re on the heavier side then you should consider going a size up. You will love them if you\u2019ve got an athletic build since they bring out well-honed chests, shoulders and arms quite well.<\/p>\n
