PUMA and the Asociaci\u00f3n Uruguaya de F\u00fatbol (AUF)\u00a0have\u00a0launched the home and away kits that the team will wear during 2016 Copa America Centenario and the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifiers during the 2016\/17 soccer calendar. The home kit will debut on pitch this Friday 25th of March, when \u201cLa Celeste\u201d play against Brazil at the Pernambuco Arena in Recife.\u00a0Both shirts will be available for purchase at\u00a0World Soccer Shop<\/a>, Subside Sports<\/a><\/strong>,\u00a0<\/strong>Lovell Soccer<\/a>,\u00a0UK Soccer Shop<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>and Kitbag<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>from today.<\/p>\n

The blue Uruguayan sky and the sun in the National flag inspired the design of the 2016\/17 home kit that Uruguay will wear to write a new chapter in the rich football history of the \u201cLa Celeste\u201d team. Every detail was carefully designed, and for this edition the color black returns to the shirt with a stripe on the shoulders, something that hasn\u2019t been seen since 2008. The \u201cMay Sun\u201d, main characteristic and emblem of the National flag, is placed strategically in the middle of the shirt.<\/p>\n

The AUF badge was renovated to reflect a modern design, through an innovative design called \u201cPhoto Realistic\u201d which allows it to be seen with a higher definition. On the back a transfer with the word \u201cUruguay\u201d to reflect the passion and pride of the Uruguayan football fans.<\/p>\n

For the Uruguay 2016 Copa Am\u00e9rica away shirt, PUMA took the stripes of the national flag as inspiration and created an innovative design which clearly shows who the team are and where they are headed.<\/p>\n

Uruguay\u2019s new home and away jerseys\u00a0features PUMA\u2019s new apparel technology ACTV Thermo-R, strategically inserted in both the front and the back of the shirt to help players maintain an optimum body temperature.<\/p>\n

A unique phase-change material is injected into the shirt\u2019s inner athletic tape which allows microcapsules to absorb excess heat and release it back to the body when needed. The taping in the shirt provides an extra snug fit, micro-massaging the skin in specific areas to provide a faster, more effective energy supply to the active muscles.<\/p>\n
