The Genoa CFC 2015\/16 Lotto third kit celebrates the fact that the club won Italy’s first Scudetto (national football championship) on May 8th, 1898.<\/p>\n

\"Genoa<\/a><\/p>\n

The new jersey\u00a0isn’t a replica of the cotton shirt worn by Genoa in the FIGC-endorsed four team knockout competition. Instead it celebrates Genoa CFC’s history via its colors and an inner neck area stamp listing the years of nine league titles that\u00a0I Rossoblu (The Red-Blues) have won.<\/p>\n

The Genoa CFC badge\u00a0is replaced by a crest featuring the Cross of St. George in a nod to the team’s founding by English expatriates in 1893. “Primi campioni d\u2019Italia” (Italy’s First Champion) is printed\u00a0in Italic font below the crest.<\/p>\n

The Genoa CFC 2015\/16 Lotto third kit will be worn by the club in their Monday, May 11th Serie A meeting with Torino. The a win in the fixture will help Genoa secure a spot in next season’s UEFA Europa League.<\/p>\n
