<\/p>\nThe Paraguayan Football Association (Asociaci\u00f3n Paraguaya de F\u00fatbol) has modernized their crest ahead of the 2015 Copa America tournament.<\/p>\n
The new badge will feature on the Paraguay 2015\/16 home and away kits when they are released in the lead up to the South American soccer championship.<\/p>\n

The antiquated 1970s and 80s feel of the previous badge has been replaced by one in which the golden star of the APF is given a bolder appearance and no longer surrounded by a circular\u00a0border. While the series of four Paraguayan flags around the star is still present, they are of greater width. The text on the new badge is simply APF and Paraguay.<\/p>\n
Copa America finalists in 2011 and FIFA World Cup quarter-finalists in 2010, Paraguay will meet Argentina, Uruguay and Jamaica the group stage of the 2015 edition of the competition.<\/p>\n
