According to Nike the kits are inspired by the club\u2019s illustrious past and reflective of their bright future in the French League (Ligue 1).<\/p>\n
Between 1944 and 1955, Lille was one of France\u2019s most successful clubs and enjoyed what they still hail as \u201cThe Glorious Decade.\u201d During this era, Lille dominated the French Division 1 league in 1946 and 1954, and won the Coupe de France five times in 1946, 1947, 1948, 1953 and 1955.<\/p>\n HOME KIT<\/strong><\/p>\n To honor the trophy-laden Glorious Decade, Lille\u2019s new home kit is inspired by the designs worn by teams during the era, featuring bold chevron patterns on the chest.<\/p>\n The new home shirt is a modern classic design; it features a bright red triangle around the neck and upper chest, a tonal red chevron across the middle of the chest paying homage to \u2018The Glorious Decade,\u201d while the bottom of the shirt cascades into a darker red.<\/p>\n The shirt\u2019s collar is a blue constructed V-neck with a ribbed section at the back and a trim at the front.<\/p>\n A pennant tab featuring the Fleur-de-lis from the club\u2019s crest can be found inside the neck of the shirt.<\/p>\n The new home shorts are blue with a thin red stripe on each side. The new home socks are blue with a wide red stripe of chevrons on the back.<\/p>\n AWAY KIT<\/strong><\/p>\n The new away kit boldly features the yellow and black of the Flanders flag as a symbol of regional pride for the French Flanders area of northern France next to the Belgian border.<\/p>\n The new shirt has a vibrant yellow body and boasts a stylish black-ribbed polo neck collar with a placket featuring a single black button, and high black cuffs on the sleeves.<\/p>\n Similar to the home shirt, a pennant tab featuring the Fleur-de-lis from the club\u2019s crest can be found inside the neck of the shirt.<\/p>\n The new away shorts are black with a thin yellow stripe on each side.
