For the match, Liverpool replaced the logo of shirt sponsor Standard Chartered with that of\u00a0\u00a0global charity &#8216;\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/seeingisbelieving.org.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\">Seeing is Believing<\/a>&#8216;.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Yesterday&#8217;s match saw LFC don kits with the Seeing is Believing logo for the third season in a row following similar moves during the <a href=\"http:\/\/footballfashion.org\/wordpress\/2012\/05\/07\/liverpool-fc-to-use-seeing-is-believing-logo-on-shirts-for-chelsea-game\/\">2011\/12<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/footballfashion.org\/wordpress\/2013\/02\/11\/liverpool-fc-uses-seeing-is-believing-logo-on-201213-shirt-for-wba-game\/\">2012\/13<\/a> seasons during meetings with Chelsea and West Bromwich Albion respectively.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/farm4.staticflickr.com\/3689\/13539188314_80af8d6761_b.jpg\" target=\"_blank\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter lazyload\" alt=\"Liverpool FC Return to the Top of the Premier League in 2013\/14 &quot;Seeing is Believing&quot; Kits \" src=\"data:image\/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAAAAACH5BAEKAAEALAAAAAABAAEAAAICTAEAOw==\" data-src=\"https:\/\/farm4.staticflickr.com\/3689\/13539188314_80af8d6761.jpg\" width=\"500\" height=\"283\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>According to the Liverpool website: This will be the third time that the &#8216;Seeing is Believing&#8217; logo has been displayed on the iconic red jersey to raise awareness of the programme&#8217;s work in the fight against avoidable blindness.<\/p>\n<p>After the game, five limited edition player shirts from the match will be signed and auctioned on eBay to raise money for &#8216;Seeing is Believing&#8217;; all donations will be matched by Standard Chartered, making this fixture the &#8216;Perfect Match&#8217;, with the club and its sponsor coming together to support an important cause.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/farm8.staticflickr.com\/7275\/13538874145_ded6f1b523_b.jpg\" target=\"_blank\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter lazyload\" alt=\"Liverpool FC Return to the Top of the Premier League in 2013\/14 &quot;Seeing is Believing&quot; Kits \" src=\"data:image\/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAAAAACH5BAEKAAEALAAAAAABAAEAAAICTAEAOw==\" data-src=\"https:\/\/farm8.staticflickr.com\/7275\/13538874145_ded6f1b523_n.jpg\" width=\"320\" height=\"309\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The club will also raise awareness for &#8216;Seeing is Believing&#8217; by releasing five videos throughout the week. The clips will see first-team players Lucas Leiva and Jordan Henderson, legends Robbie Fowler and Steve McManaman, and celebrity fans John Bishop and Andy Brown taking part in a number of challenges, competing to see who will be crowned the &#8216;Perfect Match&#8217; pair.<\/p>\n<p>These videos will also form the basis of a competition to win signed &#8216;Seeing is Believing&#8217; Liverpool shirts via Standard Chartered&#8217;s Facebook page&#8230;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><iframe src=\"\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/Vd7qwK5UyiE?rel=0\" height=\"315\" width=\"560\" allowfullscreen=\"\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>There are 39million blind people worldwide, yet in eight out of 10 cases, blindness can be prevented or treated. 90 per cent of avoidable blindness occurs in the developing world, affecting many communities where Standard Chartered operates.<\/p>\n<p>Through simple treatments and affordable surgeries, it is possible to transform the lives of both children and adults, benefiting not only those who receive treatment, but also their families.
