Nike has launched\u00a0the Portugal 2014 World Cup away kit with modeling by team captain Cristiano Ronaldo and his team mates. The mainly white shirt will be available at\u00a0World Soccer Shop<\/a>,\u00a0Kitbag<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong><\/strong>and\u00a0Subside Sports<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>along with the two-time World Cup semi-finalists 14\/15 home jersey<\/a>.<\/p>\n

According to Nike: The new Portugal away kit for the 2014 season is stylish and luxurious, infused with the best in performance innovation.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe wanted to give Portugal a classic and sophisticated look for their new away kit, which captures the flamboyance and brilliance of the football that saw them qualify for Brasil,\u201d said Martin Lotti, Global Creative Director, Nike Football.<\/p>\n

\"Portugal<\/a>\u00a0\"Portugal<\/a><\/p>\n

With the white away jersey, Nike designers wanted to give Portugal a tailored, well-dressed look. It boasts a unique two-level stand collar and blue cuffs.<\/p>\n

On either side of the Portuguese Football Federation\u2019s crest are the years 1914 and 2014 to commemorate the team’s centenary.<\/p>\n

Inside the back of the neck is a white pennant tab featuring the Order of Christ, an evocative Portuguese cross that pays homage to the nation’s rich seafaring history. The cross radiated from the sails of the ships helmed by great Portuguese explorers during the 15th century.<\/p>\n

The names and numbers on the back of the jersey are inspired by old typefaces used on traditional Portuguese signs, producing a font that is both contemporary and Art Deco.<\/p>\n

The blue away shorts are simple and iconic, with a slimmer fit tailored to the body specifically designed to aid movement and comfort. The center back of the shorts feature Nike\u2019s signature laser vents to promote cooling and allow for moisture management. The new away socks are white.<\/p>\n

“The new away kit is very impressive, the white color is very stylish and I can’t wait to wear it,” says national team captain Cristiano Ronaldo. “It’s the ultimate honor to represent your country as a footballer and wear your national team kit with pride.
