<\/a><\/p>\nThe Catalan national team is not affiliated with FIFA nor UEFA and does not participate in the FIFA World Cup or the European Championship. However, Catalan players such as Gerard Piqu\u00e9, Xavi, Sergio Busquets\u00a0and Cesc Fabregas are regulars on the Spanish national team.<\/p>\n
On Wednesday, the Catalunya 2013 away kit was presented to the press at halftime of the team’s 1-1 draw with Nigeria. Its release follows that of the team’s new home jersey<\/a> in November 2012.<\/p>\n The shirt uses a striped design \u00a0in the red and yellow of La Senyera (the Catalan flag). A similar design has been rumored to be in the works for the FC Barcelona 2013\/14 away kit.<\/p>\n Catalunya doesn’t currently have any more matches scheduled as yet for this year. The Catalonia football team represents the Catalonia region of Spain. It is run\u00a0by the Catalonia Football Federation or Federaci\u00f3 Catalana de Futbol.
