Sunderland has released its 2026\/27 third kit, produced by hummel, ahead of a season that will see the club compete in the Premier League, EFL Cup, FA Cup and UEFA Europa League. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 26\/27 third shirt design draws on Sunderland’s history of glassmaking, a craft with roots stretching back centuries in the city. The earliest known example of stained glass in Sunderland dates from the seventh century, and that heritage is reflected in a repeating pattern across the shirt, formed from a stained-glass depiction of the football taken from within the club’s ship crest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
