Sunderland AFC and technical partner hummel have officially presented the Sunderland 2026\/27 home kit ahead of the upcoming campaign. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The team will wear the new strip as they compete across four competitions, including the Premier League, EFL Cup, FA Cup, and UEFA Europa League. The release arrives as the club prepares for its first season of European football in 53 years, marking a notable milestone for the Wearside outfit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Designed with explicit reference to club history, the Sunderland 2026\/27 home kit pays homage to the Triumph of \u201937. The shirt honors Sunderland’s 1937 FA Cup victory, when the club secured the trophy at Wembley Stadium in front of 93,495 spectators. Several bespoke design features celebrating that team are integrated into the garment’s construction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the front of the jersey, the current SAFC crest is situated within a dedicated shield on the chest. The historical tributes continue on the collar area, where the exterior back of the neck features the original city crest that appeared on the 1937 kit. Inside the collar, the inner back of the neck details the full starting XI from that famous Wembley final.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
