adidas and the French Rugby Federation (FFR) have unveiled a special anniversary collection marking 120 years of one of rugby’s most storied rivalries \u2014 the clash between France and England, affectionately known as ‘Le Crunch’. The collection is designed to honor the deep history between the two nations while equipping players and supporters for the intensity that defines every encounter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The collection is split into two complementary elements. The performance range \u2014 which includes a match jersey, replica jersey, pre-match jersey, shorts, and jacket \u2014 is built to meet the demands of the modern game while remaining firmly anchored in the past. Each piece draws from a rich visual archive, making the collection as much a historical document as a functional kit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The design of the first Les Bleus 2026 match jersey and its replica take direct inspiration from the original light blue strip worn by France during their first fixture against England in 1906. The 1927 FFR logo features prominently across the collection, chosen specifically to mark the year France recorded their first victory over England \u2014 a moment of significant milestone in the rivalry’s evolution. The ‘Tricolore’ stripes reference the French rugby kits of the late 1980s and 1990s, a period during which adidas served as the FFR’s official kit supplier.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
