When we first heard about this collaboration, our team was scratching our heads. Sly Dog premium Caribbean Rum, Jack Blumenthal’s legendary fried chicken spot Ginger Wings, UK house DJ CASH ONLY, and his label Famous When Dead Records teaming up with Spanish brand Meyba for a soccer jersey? It sounded like someone was just throwing random brands into a hat and picking four. But after getting our hands on this release, we can confidently say this is one of the most thoughtful collaborations we’ve seen all year. This isn’t some cash-grab nonsense \u2013 it’s actually fire.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our research team dug into Meyba’s history, and their street cred is undeniable. These are the guys who made kits for FC Barcelona’s Dream Team back in the ’80s, so they definitely know what they’re doing when it comes to football shirts that actually matter. What impressed us most is how this seemingly random group of collaborators actually makes sense when you see the final product. While some of the big sportswear brands keep pumping out the same boring templates for every team on the planet, this thing is genuinely unique and has serious personality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From a design perspective, our style team is obsessed with the execution here. The ribbed rounded neck and sleeve cuff construction immediately reminded us of those legendary Brazil jerseys from the ’98 World Cup \u2013 you know, the ones Ronaldo wore during his peak. It’s got that vintage football vibe but doesn’t feel like it’s trying too hard to be retro. We’re also loving this midnight blue and orange colorway \u2013 it’s gorgeous and bold in a way that most brands are too scared to attempt. This is the kind of jersey that photographs well whether you’re on the field or just throwing it on for casual wear.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It’s not copying \u2013 it’s more like honoring the legacy while doing something completely new. The Sly Dog eyes logo placement on the front is perfectly executed too. We’ve reviewed countless jerseys where the sponsor completely ruins the aesthetic, but this one actually enhances the overall look. Whoever handled the creative direction clearly understands how modern branding should work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That sublimated number 25 on the back for 2025 looks crisp and won’t peel off after multiple washes like those cheap heat-pressed numbers we see everywhere. The Cash Only Fans and Ginger Wings patches on the lower sleeves are positioned perfectly \u2013 subtle enough to feel exclusive but visible enough for those in the know to appreciate.
