The Hellenic Football Federation has revealed its latest Nike home and away kits for the Greece men’s and women’s national teams, designed for the 2024\/25 season. These jerseys retain the iconic home white and away blue of the UEFA EURO 2004 champions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Greek 24\/25 shirts draw inspiration from the iconic Nike of Samothrace, a renowned Hellenistic sculpture representing a “winged Goddess.” The image of this statue is prominently displayed on the right side of the kits, symbolizing the desire to empower the players, giving them “wings” to achieve significant success.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Nike of Samothrace, currently in the Louvre Museum, dates back to 1884 and is believed to be one of three winged Nikes discovered in the Temple of Samothrace. It served as the primary source of inspiration for the Nike logo, popularly known as the Swoosh, representing the sound of wind and flowing water.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The white Greece 2024\/25 Nike home kit adds a new touch with two stripes in the colors of the national coat of arms  on its left front. Additionally, on the bottom left of the kit, an anniversary patch celebrates the 20th anniversary of the team\u2019s EURO 2004 title, displaying the trophy being awarded to the national team after its competition final win against Cristiano Ronaldo, Lu\u00eds Figo, and the rest of a talent laden Portugal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For the Greece 2024\/25 home and away jerseys, the Swoosh will feature a silver color, harmonizing with the design of Nike of Samothrace. The anniversary patch is also rendered in silver, achieving a uniform and elegant aesthetic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
