Southampton FC have unveiled their home kit for the 2022\/23 English Premier League, EFL Cup and FA Cup season. The jersey is furnished by Saints technical partner hummel.<\/p>\n\n\n

Southampton\u2019s 22\/23 home shirt is inspired by the club\u2019s primary kits of 1980 to 1985 worn by the likes of Kevin Keegan, Alan Ball and Charlie George. It boasts a central wide vertical stripe on its mid-front. The stripe is bordered with black trim. Black is combined with red ont he jersey\u2019s rounded collar.<\/p>\n\n\n

The rest of the shirt is white with a tonal geometric pattern representing the iconic stanchions of St Mary\u2019s Stadium on the front and back.<\/p>\n\n\n

Southampton Football Club\u2019s Director of Marketing & Partnerships, Sarah Batters, commented: \u201cBeing brave is in our DNA. We\u2019ve always looked for new ways to push boundaries and this season\u2019s kit is no different. As part of this launch, we asked players, staff, and fans what bravery means to them and in time we will be releasing some of these stories. Working with hummel enables us to creatively push our kit designs and this shirt is no different; celebrating our heritage with a flip on the classic 1980 shirt but modernised with nods to St Mary\u2019s Stadium and a bold central badge.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n
