We found the Pioneer to be an absolutely stunning piece in person. Its Danish minimalistic look is refreshing in an era of often overdone and gaudy mechanical and smartwatches that quickly become damaged and \/ or technically obsolete. Designer Jakob Wagner brilliantly melds timekeeping functionality with colors, classic links and a watch face to create a timepiece that transcends menswear and occasions. The result is a watch that can be worn with just about anything from board shorts at the beach to a business suit at a high-profile executive working session. The Pioneer\u2019s stopwatch makes it great for wear during gym training although we\u2019d avoid doing so to avoid damaging it with metal weights.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Pioneer is quite comfortable on the wrist because of its surprisingly light weight. Its flat back has a pleasant, unintrusive feel that can make you forget that you\u2019re even wearing a watch. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Pioneer\u2019s wristband opening and locking mechanism is extremely easy to use and blends well with its eye-catching links. We didn\u2019t have to add or remove links for an optimal fit. Extras are provided as part of its package if needed though.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We were big fans of the relatively big controls on the left side of the Pioneer. They add to the clever aesthetics of the Pioneer while providing key stopwatch and time setting functions with a finger touch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
