Minnesota United recently unveiled its new 2022\/23 away jersey. The shirt is called the ‘Minnesota Night Kit\u2019. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to Minnesota United: Combined with the cool blue of the River Kit from 2021, the ‘Minnesota Night Kit\u2019 puts black and blue front and center for Minnesota United for the team\u2019s sixth year in MLS. Struck through with pinpricks of light like stars, the kit is the team\u2019s first truly black kit and a reinforcement of our connection to the state as a place of natural wonder.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The kit features the state\u2019s motto \u201cL\u2019\u00c9toile du Nord\u201d \u2014 French for \u201cStar of the North\u201d \u2014 on the neck tape, a reminder of Minnesota\u2019s place as the northernmost state of the lower 48 and a beacon in the constellation Ursa Minor for travelers everywhere. Additionally, a six-pointed star, which has been a part of the team\u2019s crest from the very beginning, is embossed in blue on the back of the neck.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWith the new ‘Minnesota Night Kit\u2019, our uniforms will proudly reflect the colors that have been synonymous with Minnesota United since its inception. Our players will wear Minnesota Black and Blue,\u201d said MNUFC CEO Shari Ballard. \u201cWe are also honored to work with the Environmental Initiative on its \u2018Clean Air Minnesota\u2019 project, and a portion of the sales proceeds of our new kit will go towards reducing air pollution in our community.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n
