Rumored to have signed Mexico international Hector Herrera from LaLiga\u2019s Atletico Madrid, Houston Dynamo has released its 2022\/23 adidas away jersey. The MLS club\u2019s new alternate shirt is inspired by the city of Houston\u2019s bayous.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the club:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Houston is a city of many nicknames, perhaps none of which is more deserved than the Bayou City. Eleven different bayous run through Houston, and their impact on the city is a profound one.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The bayous, and the role they play in the city, served as the inspiration for the new Houston Dynamo FC alternate jersey, dubbed the Bayou City Kit. The intertwined nature of the bayous means that they help connect every Houstonian together, just as the Dynamo strive to do, and this jersey aims to reflect those relationships.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

From their vital role in flood prevention to giving a home for Houston\u2019s surprisingly diverse wildlife to serving as a source of fun and recreation for so many Houstonians, H-Town truly would not be the city it is without our bayou system. Everyone in Houston can likely identify their neighborhood by its proximity to the nearest bayou, and when it rains every eye in the city turns to the bayous to gauge the severity of a storm<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
