The AC Milan men\u2019s and women\u2019s senior teams debuted their 2021\/22 PUMA home kit during their Italian Serie A fixtures this past weekend. The new jersey was unveiled last week<\/a> using the \u2018Move Like Milan\u2019 theme that celebrates the city of Milan\u2019s rapid acceleration of the city\u2019s culture as Milan reinvents itself. AC Milan\u2019s red and black striped jerseys are the stuff of legend given the storied one hundred and twenty two year history of I Rossoneri (The Red and Blacks) in Italian domestic and European competition.

PUMA\u2019s designers have worked the stripes into the jersey in a clever manner by placing the black stripes on the jersey in three different widths on its front and back. The red stripes in between the black stripes are of equal width to create symmetry on the shirt. The result is a modern, refreshing look that sees AC Milan in primary jerseys in which all of the stripes are not of the same thickness for the first time since 2014<\/a> and just the second time in recent memory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The AC Milan 2021\/22 PUMA home kit carries a bit more red than most of the club\u2019s primary shirt of the last decade. However side and underarm panels ensure that the team\u2019s black is well-represented on the jersey. They are also quite functional for body cooling since they are made of a lightweight mesh fabric.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The fan replica version of the new AC Milan shirt features the tried and tested soccer jersey ribbed v-neck. This gives the kit a brilliant look for all around wear versus the trimless, relatively low v-neck used for the player issued version of the shirt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The famous AC Milan crest is embroidered on the left breast with the iconic PUMA Cat logo embroidered on the right chest and shouldered. The combination is clean and well-done and blends well with the overall look of the jersey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Small hexagons that are key elements of the sportswear firm\u2019s dryCELL cooling technology are present within the material. The glossy look created is visually appealing in that it emphasizes the colors and stripes of the shirt quite well. The only shirt sponsor logo on the AC Milan 2021\/22 PUMA home jersey is that of Emirates Airlines on the front. The white print messaging is unobtrusive and relatively subtle. This is quite a relief in an era in which sleeve and back sponsors keep popping up on football kits of some of the biggest clubs in the world. Thankfully, AC Milan has stuck with just a single shirt sponsor even though Serie A allows a host of them throughout the jerseys of its participating teams.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The AC Milan 2021\/22 PUMA home jersey carries a true to size fit. It does have a slimmer fitting silhouette in line with current men\u2019s tops trends. This will show off your fitness level if you have an athletic and muscular physique.
