The names are represented by tonal horizontal lines within the jersey\u2019s stripes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
<\/a><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\nThe specially designed stripes are part of New Balance Football\u2019s \u2018Born of the People\u2019 (Herritik sortu zinalako) campaign for Athletic Club. The effort celebrates the team\u2019s unique identity. \u2018Herretik sortu zinalako\u2019 is taken from Athletic Bilbao\u2019s anthem. It is Basque for Bbecause you (the Club, the team) are created from the Country (the people).\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
<\/a><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\nThe Basque flag is incorporated into the kit at the rear outside collar while the lion of San Mam\u00e9s, which is stitched onto the inside of the Athletic Club crest and is visible when the jersey is turned inside-out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
<\/a><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\nAthletic Club Lezama Academy graduate and club captain Iker Muniain commented: \u201cI really like the unique detail on the jersey,\u201d Muniain said. \u201cWhile it also includes traditional details that show we are a Club that represents unity. Wearing this kit will mean a lot to the players and our supporters.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
