<\/a><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\nThe former Canadian Championship winners will don a new look away jersey for their 2020 campaign. The latest Caps alternate shirt is called the “Wave” jersey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
<\/a><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\nAccording to the Whitecaps: The Wave jersey represents a reflection of Vancouver and the water that surrounds the city. Inscribed on the nape of the neck is the city\u2019s motto, \u201cBy Sea Land and Air We Prosper\u201d. The waves are also a nod to Vancouver\u2019s flag, which adorns the jersey\u2019s jock tag.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cWaves have been an important symbol for our club since Denny Veitch came up with the Whitecaps name back in 1973,\u201d said Mikkel Str\u00f8jer, Whitecaps FC vice president of brand and fan engagement. \u201cThe City of Vancouver’s official flag and motto were the inspiration for our new kit and we were proud to collaborate with the Mayor\u2019s office to incorporate both in the design.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n The new kit will make its on the pitch debut on Saturday evening although the Whitecaps match against SKC is a home fixture at BC Place.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Vancouver Whitecaps 2020 adidas home<\/a> and away jerseys will be available at World Soccer Shop<\/a><\/strong>, Lovell Soccer<\/a>, Pro:Direct Soccer<\/a>, UK Soccer Shop<\/a> <\/strong>and Kitbag<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Photo Credits: Vancouver Whitecaps and MLS<\/p>\n\n\n\n<\/a><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<\/a><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<\/a><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n
