League. &#8220;Antlers&#8221; is derived from the city name, Kashima which literally means &#8220;deer island&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>Since the J-League&#8217;s creation in 1993, Kashima have proved by far Japan&#8217;s most successful club team, having won the league title seven times, the J. League Cup three times and the Emperor&#8217;s Cup three times. They are the current defending J. League champions.<\/p>\n<p>Late last week, Kashima Antlers unveiled their Nike 2010 home and away kits. They will feature in the 2010 J. League season and AFC Champions League.<\/p>\n<p>This is the first that we&#8217;ve seen of the Nike design used for these shirts.
