The Danish Football Association (Dansk Boldspil-Union), in partnership with sports brand hummel, has officially released the Denmark 2026/28 away kit. This alternate uniform is scheduled to be utilized over a two-year cycle spanning from 2026 to 2028.

The kit will serve as the team’s primary choice outside national borders during their upcoming international schedule, which encompasses international friendlies, the UEFA Nations League, and the EURO 2028 qualifiers.
The 2026/28 away kit made its competitive debut on March 31 during Denmark’s FIFA World Cup 2026 qualifier against Czechia. It was also worn during an international friendly match against DR Congo. According to the designers, the primary ambition behind the development of this design was to translate the familiarity of home onto the global football stage, serving as a visual symbol of team unity for players and fans alike.
Visually, the Denmark 26/28 hummel away shirt features a white base complemented by an intricate grid of narrow red pinstripes running both vertically and horizontally across the front panel. The jersey incorporates a solid red crew neck collar and matching red cuffs at the edge of the short sleeves. Classic hummel chevrons run in red along the shoulders. The right side of the chest bears the red hummel brand logo, balanced by the circular red DBU national team crest on the left side.
The overall red-and-white aesthetic serves as an intentional historical nod to domestic football culture. It references the “Roligan” fan movement and the historic “We are red, we are white” slogan popularized 40 years ago during the national team’s 1986 World Cup campaign in Mexico. Furthermore, the modern pinstripe layout is directly modeled after Denmark’s EURO 1988 jersey, marking the 40th anniversary of that tournament kit design.
