The Athletic Club 2026/27 Castore home kit is scheduled to be debuted during Sunday’s LaLiga closing round match against Real Madrid. This competitive fixture will serve as the very first on-pitch appearance for the uniform before the conclusion of the current football schedule.
The 26/27 shirt has been designed to tell Athletic Club’s story, focusing on a legacy passed down from generation to generation. The design honors those who defend the club on the pitch, those who live and breathe it from the stands, and the nation that brings the entire institution to life.
A defining visual characteristic of the jersey is its pattern of seven stripes. Each of these seven stripes on the kit represents one of Basque Country’s seven provinces. This arrangement is utilized to visually unite the different communities that form Athletic Club’s very essence.
Each stripe represents a shared history, a deep-rooted connection, and a passion that links the past, present, and future. This common identity is also explicitly reflected on the back of the jersey, which displays a structural map of the Basque Country alongside the official Basque flag.
