Liverpool FC and adidas have officially unveiled the club’s new home kit for the upcoming season. The Liverpool 2026/27 jersey draws direct inspiration from the historic strip worn during the team’s 1989-90 league title-winning campaign. This release aims to blend the club’s traditional heritage with contemporary performance characteristics, offering a re-interpreted look for the modern era.

The original 1989 to 1991 kit remains a highly regarded piece of club history, heavily associated with a successful era where the team secured its 18th league title. That specific achievement marked a record for the highest number of English league titles held by any club at that time. The new iteration seeks to revive the aesthetic elements of that era for the modern generation of players and supporters.

Featuring a deep-red base, the Liverpool 2026/27 adidas home jersey incorporates a dynamic geometric pattern that mirrors the visual style of the late-1980s original. This contemporary all-over graphic provides a sharper execution while retaining its classic roots. Clean white detailing is utilized on the club crest, adidas logo, and structural trims to complement the overall aesthetic alongside a re-imagined print design.

On the back of the first LFC kit of 2026, a newly introduced style for names and numbers is featured. This design aligns with the club’s custom typeface deployed during the previous season, drawing stylistic elements directly from the wings and talons of the Liver bird. The complete kit features uniform deep-red shorts and matching deep-red socks to present a cohesive on-pitch appearance.

This new adidas uniform will be worn throughout Liverpool’s 2026/27 competitive campaign across multiple tournaments. The squad will utilize the kit during their fixtures in the English Premier League, the UEFA Champions League, the FA Cup, and the EFL Cup.
