Portugal World Cup 2026 PUMA Home Kit

PUMA Football has released Portugal’s new home kit for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, featuring a design that draws inspiration from the nation’s maritime heritage. The jersey will be worn by both the Portuguese men’s and women’s national teams throughout their fixtures in the coming year, including matches at the World Cup tournament in North America.

The 2026 home kit to be worn by team captain Crisitano Ronaldo and his team centers on Portugal’s traditional red base, enhanced with a distinctive wave pattern and green accents. According to the manufacturer, these design elements reference the country’s coastal identity and competitive spirit.

The wave motif runs across the jersey’s surface, creating a dynamic visual effect that distinguishes it from previous Portugal kits. The green detailing complements the dominant red coloring that has become synonymous with Portuguese football.

Marco Mueller, PUMA’s Senior Director Product Line Management Performance Apparel, explained the design philosophy: “With the new Portugal Home kit, we wanted to capture the nation’s deep connection to the ocean and translate that energy onto the pitch. The wave-inspired pattern and bold red and green palette reflect a team that never stops pushing forward, fueled by passion and a fearless spirit. Together with PUMA, we set out to create a symbol that not only honors our roots but also projects Portugal to the world, reflecting our ambition to take our identity to new markets and new fans.”

The Portugal World Cup 2026 home kit is available in two versions. The Authentic edition, worn by players during matches, utilizes PUMA’s ULTRAWEAVE fabric technology designed to minimize weight and friction for performance optimization. The Replica version maintains the same visual design with a more relaxed fit suited for supporters. Both versions incorporate dryCELL moisture-management technology to maintain comfort during wear.
