Italian sportswear firm Macron has released the 2024/25 home and away kits for the Albanian national football team, affectionately known as the ‘Shqiponjat’ (Eagles). The jerseys will be worn during Albania’s upcoming UEFA Nations League matches and FIFA World Cup 2026 qualification campaign.
The release follows Albania’s impressive performance at EURO 2024, where they held their own against powerhouse teams like Italy, Croatia, and eventual winners Spain.
The 2024/25 home kit maintains Albania’s traditional red color, a nod to the nation’s flag. It features a black crew neck and sleeve cuffs, with an embossed pattern of two-headed eagles across the shirt. This symbol, deeply rooted in Albanian culture, is commonly found in traditional costumes and decorative arts.
The jersey includes several patriotic details, such as the words “Ti Shqipëri, më jep nder” (Albania, you honor me) from a poem by Naim Frashëri on the inside hem, and “SHQIPËRI” (Albania) printed behind the neck and embossed at the bottom of the shirt.
For away matches, Albania will don a predominantly white 2024/25 Macron alternate kit. The shirt incorporates black accents on the crew neck and sleeve cuffs, complemented by red details. It shares many design elements with the home jersey, including the embossed eagle motif and patriotic inscriptions. The away kit is completed with white shorts featuring black drawstrings and white socks with a black top and red stripe.
The Albania 2024/25 Macron third kit option presents a striking all-black design with red accents on the crew neck and sleeve cuffs. Like its counterparts, this jersey also showcases the embossed double-headed eagle pattern. The Macron logo and the Albanian Football Federation badge are prominently displayed in red on the chest, providing a bold contrast against the black background.
All three kits incorporate Macron’s attention to detail and respect for Albanian heritage. Each jersey features a custom inside neck label with the federation’s logo and the phrase “Designed in Bologna,” emphasizing Macron’s Italian roots. The shorts and socks for each kit complement their respective jerseys, with consistent color schemes and branding elements.
