Aston Villa Football Club (AVFC) has revealed its new away kit for the 2024/25 Premier League season, marking a significant milestone in the club’s history. The jersey made its debut during the season opener against West Ham at London Stadium, showcasing a design that pays homage to the club’s rich heritage while embracing modern aesthetics.
The Aston Villa 2024/25 adidas away kit, produced by adidas as part of a recently announced multi-year partnership, features a minimalist white shirt adorned with the iconic claret and blue colors.
These traditional hues appear as striped accents on the collar, creating a subtle yet distinctive nod to the club’s identity. This design choice draws inspiration from the 1975 FA Cup-winning team’s football shirt, blending nostalgia with contemporary style.
In celebration of Aston Villa’s 150th anniversary, the 24/25 alternate jersey incorporates several special elements. The back of the shirt displays an ‘AV 150’ anniversary marque in elegant calligraphy, commemorating the club’s foundation in 1874. Additionally, the kit boasts a new crest and blue adidas three stripes running down each shoulder, completing the look with a modern touch.
The unveiling of this 2024/25 away kit coincides with an exciting period for Aston Villa. The men’s team is set to compete in the UEFA Champions League for the first time, while the women’s team continues to establish its presence in the Women’s Super League. This new kit will be worn by both teams, symbolizing a unified front as the club enters a new era of competition.
Sam Handy, SVP of Product and Design at adidas, commented: “adidas knows that Aston Villa is a club that is deep-rooted in its culture and visual identity, and we wanted to reflect this by ensuring that the away kit features the club’s iconic colors of claret and blue. As a brand, we’re always competing to be at the forefront, so we’re very pleased to be working with a club that embodies that same drive.”
