Bournemouth 2024/25 Umbro Home and Away Kits

As we count down to another Premier League campaign, AFC Bournemouth has revealed their home and away kits for the 2024/25 season, designed by Umbro. The kits, set to be worn by the club during their upcoming Barclays Premier League, EFL Cup, and FA Cup seasons, mark The Cherries’ 125th anniversary. The launch pays homage to the club’s rich history and achievements, reflecting significant moments from the past decade and beyond.

The 2024/25 home jersey is a tribute to the ten-year anniversary of AFC Bournemouth’s legendary 2014/15 season, when they earned promotion to the Premier League. The design features the iconic red and black stripes, accentuated with a gold pinstripe reminiscent of the home kit worn a decade ago. This nod to the past celebrates a pivotal moment in the club’s history, blending tradition with a modern touch.

The unveiling of the AFC Bournemouth 24/5 home kit saw participation from members of the men’s and women’s teams, as well as club stalwarts Adam Smith and Tommy Elphick. The event also marked the return of Marc Pugh, who scored a crucial goal against Bolton Wanderers in April 2015, helping to secure Bournemouth’s promotion from the EFL Championship to the Premier League. Pugh’s presence added a layer of nostalgia and significance to the launch, as fans reminisced about that memorable night.

AFC Bournemouth’s 2024/25 Umbro away kit takes inspiration from the early 90s, a period that introduced a cult classic shirt which has since become a staple among the Cherries’ fan base. The away shirt features a striking combination of purple and green reimagined against a white base. This design revisits a once controversial look, now cherished by supporters, and aims to make a bold statement in the upcoming away matches.

The use of purple and green on the away kit not only celebrates a distinctive part of the club’s heritage but also demonstrates how historical designs can be modernized to create fresh, eye-catching apparel.

The new away kit is expected to resonate well with both long-time fans and newer supporters, showcasing the club’s ability to blend tradition with contemporary fashion trends.

AFC Bournemouth kick off their 2024/25 Premier League season at Nottingham Forest on August 17th, 2024.
